As the humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza enters its third day, there is renewed hope for the release of a new batch of child detainees from Israeli prisons. According to Al Jazeera, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari revealed that the Red Cross received 17 detainees from the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. Al-Ansari confirmed that the agreement includes the release of 39 Palestinians, in line with the commitments outlined in the temporary humanitarian ceasefire agreement.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army escalated its raids and suppression in the West Bank, resulting in six martyrs in the city of Jenin and its camp. Additionally, a young Palestinian was martyred near the Psagot settlement east of Al-Bireh, bringing the total number of martyrs in the West Bank since October 7 to 238.

The situation in Gaza remains tense, with international efforts focused on maintaining the ceasefire and facilitating further prisoner exchanges. The involvement of international entities like the Red Cross and the support of countries like Qatar play a crucial role in these humanitarian efforts.
