Israel escalated its air attacks on homes and civilian facilities in Gaza on Sunday, resulting in more martyrs and injuries, while the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Israel Gaza Conflict, claimed to have killed a significant number of Israeli soldiers in ground battles in the sector.

On the third day following the collapse of the temporary truce, Israeli aircraft continued to bomb various cities and neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip. A mosque in the Tuffah district in eastern Gaza City was destroyed, and the Israeli occupation launched more raids on the Jabaliya camp, which has witnessed several massacres in recent days and weeks. The occupation continues artillery and aerial bombing in Khan Yunis in southern Gaza Strip.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported a martyr and several injured in an Israeli air raid on a house west of Khan Yunis. More martyrs and injured were reported in Israeli bombing targeting a house in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. Violent reports also emerged of Israeli raids in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, concurrent with tank shelling.

Nine martyrs fell in an Israeli raid targeting a house in the Al-Janeena neighborhood east of Rafah in southern Gaza, as reported by Al Jazeera. The Director of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Ismail Al-Thawabta, announced the killing of over 700 Palestinians due to Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours. Al-Thawabta accused Israel of deliberately committing the “largest number of massacres and increasing the casualty toll,” noting severe difficulties in rescuing hundreds of bodies from under the rubble and transporting the injured to hospitals.

The total number of victims since the beginning of the aggression is about 16,000 martyrs, mostly women and children, in addition to tens of thousands of injured and missing.

On Sunday, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza told Al Jazeera that “thousands of martyrs are still under the rubble, and we are unable to extract them.”

In retaliation, the Al-Qassam Brigades stated they had killed a large number of Israeli soldiers by detonating devices in their location in eastern Juhor al-Dik in Gaza. The Brigades previously inflicted heavy losses on the Israeli forces in the Juhor al-Dik area. An Israeli force on foot positioned inside a building in the At-Tuffah area north of the Strip was also targeted, resulting in casualties and injuries.

The Israeli military acknowledged the death of an officer in battles in central Gaza Strip. The Israeli army also announced the death of a soldier from Battalion 932 – Nahal Brigade, wounded during recent battles in northern Gaza.

Simultaneously, the Palestinian resistance continued shelling Tel Aviv and settlements around Gaza. The military media of Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast scenes of a large rocket barrage aimed at Tel Aviv and its suburbs. Alarm sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and several towns, and the Iron Dome intercepted several rockets, some of which fell in central Tel Aviv and others in the sea. Israel’s Channel 12 reported a malfunction in one of the Iron Dome rockets, leading to its failure to intercept a rocket in the suburbs of Tel Aviv.

Warning sirens echoed in the settlements surrounding Gaza on Sunday morning, alerting to rockets from the Palestinian resistance. Israeli experts stated that Hamas remains far from defeat and is prepared to continue fighting for an extended period. The experts told Israeli Radio that the head of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, still controls and manages the situation effectively.

Furthermore, the Islamic Jihad Movement’s military wing, Saraya al-Quds, announced they had shelled Israeli soldier gatherings and engaged in fierce battles in the Gaza Strip, while continuing to launch rockets at Israeli settlements.
