“President Tebboune’s strict directives contributed to market stability”

Today, Sunday, the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Taieb Zitouni, held an evaluative meeting with regional and provincial directors via remote video conferencing at the ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, which focused on discussing market developments during the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holiday, the minister affirmed that President Tebboune’s strict directives and proactive measures contributed to market stability during Ramadan.

He added: “The President’s strict directives and proactive measures to ensure the availability of essential goods, such as opening the importation of red and white meat, increasing the share of private mills in wheat, and doubling the production of oil and sugar, contributed to market stability during this blessed month.”

Zitouni praised the full cooperation and coordination among the Ministries of Trade and Export Promotion, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Interior and Local Authorities, and Urban Planning, highlighting their effective contribution to stabilizing the prices of widely consumed goods.

He also commended the efforts of central and regional executives, provincial directors, inspectors, and control officers, particularly in implementing the policies and measures that have been taken, emphasizing the importance of collective work and effective coordination to achieve common goals in serving citizens and enhancing economic and social stability.

In conclusion, the minister expressed his confidence in the ability of executives and directors to continue working with the same enthusiasm and diligence during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, calling for intensified efforts to ensure the continuity of providing necessary goods and services to citizens during this religious occasion.
