As the official representative of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Council of the Nation President Aouaz Naasseri conducted a series of high-level bilateral meetings in Kampala during the inauguration ceremonies of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
On the sidelines of a state dinner hosted by President Museveni, Naasseri met with African Union Commission Deputy Chairperson Salma Malika Haddad, where key continental issues were discussed.
Prior to the inauguration, Naasseri held talks with Ethiopian Federal Democratic Republic President Sahle-Work Zewde, addressing matters of mutual strategic interest. He also met with DR Congo President Félix Tshisekedi and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
In a notable diplomatic gesture, President Museveni personally extended special greetings to Naasseri at the conclusion of the ceremony, underscoring the strong bilateral ties between Algeria and Uganda.
Naasseri was accompanied by Algeria’s Ambassador to Uganda Mourad Amgrane and Council of the Nation Chief of Staff Makhlouf Sahel.
