A high-level delegation of energy executives and technical specialists from the Republic of Chad arrived in Algiers on Wednesday, led by Chad’s Minister of Water and Energy, Bassali Kanabi Marcellin, in a landmark visit aimed at strengthening bilateral energy cooperation.
The delegation received an official welcome from Algeria’s Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr. Murad Adjal, underscoring the strategic importance both nations place on this growing partnership.
In an exclusive statement to dzwatch, ministry officials confirmed the visit is being conducted in direct implementation of directives issued by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who has prioritized the consolidation of African continental cooperation, particularly in the energy sector.
As part of the first day’s program, the delegation visited the training school of the Sonatrach complex, where both ministers met with 12 Chadian trainees currently enrolled in a high-level engineering training program — a concrete symbol of Algeria’s commitment to building African energy expertise.
