The meeting centered around the internal management of UNICEF and its ongoing initiatives in the region.

According to a statement from the Ministry, this encounter emphasized the “excellent cooperation relations” between Algeria and UNICEF, and praised the progress made in the implementation of the country program for the period 2024-2027. The discussions reflected a robust partnership aimed at enhancing various sectors including education, child protection, health, nutrition, and youth programs.

During the meeting, Magramane highlighted the importance of the sectoral cooperation programs signed between UNICEF and various ministerial departments and national agencies in Algeria. These programs are pivotal in advancing major social issues, such as child education and health, including vaccination initiatives.

Magramane also took the opportunity to express Algeria’s gratitude towards UNICEF for its high-quality assistance to Sahrawi refugees, particularly in the fields of education and immunization.
