President Tebboune Launches 2026 Housing Distribution Program Across Algeria

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune officially launched, on Sunday, the 2026 housing distribution operation across the national territory. The launch coincides with the celebration of the 64th anniversary of Algeria’s Independence Day, marked on July 5, 1962.
This national operation is part of the state’s continued efforts to provide housing for citizens and respond to growing demand in different regions of the country. It also reflects the importance given by public authorities to improving living conditions and supporting social stability through various housing programs.
According to the figures announced, the 2026 housing distribution program includes a total of 179,168 housing units and assistance decisions in different formulas across Algeria. The operation covers several types of housing, allowing different categories of citizens to benefit according to their needs and eligibility.
The program includes 42,520 public rental housing units, which are mainly intended for families with limited income. It also includes 11,914 housing units under the rent-to-own formula, known as AADL, one of the most requested housing programs in the country.
In addition, 9,975 units will be distributed under the subsidized promotional housing formula, while 7,353 units fall under the free promotional housing formula. The operation also includes 76,423 financial aids for rural housing, aimed at supporting citizens living in rural areas and encouraging stability outside major urban centers.
The program further provides 30,983 benefit decisions related to social plot assistance, another mechanism designed to help citizens build their own homes under supported conditions.
Through this large-scale distribution operation, the government aims to continue implementing its housing policy and meet the expectations of thousands of families across the country.
