On Tuesday, Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, oversaw new export operations in the Annaba province.
According to a ministry statement, Minister Zitouni, accompanied by Annaba Governor Abdelkader Jlaoui, supervised the export of various local products, including building materials and foodstuffs.
During the first stop of his visit, the minister went to the port of Annaba, where he oversaw the export of cement produced by SILAS Corporation.
The minister listened to a detailed presentation on the cement export process, noting that this shipment, consisting of 46,000 tons of cement destined for the United States, is part of a strategic plan to enhance Algeria’s export volume in the building materials sector.
Zitouni emphasized that SILAS Corporation is among the leaders in this field, thanks to its ongoing investments in production development and quality improvement.
In this context, the minister reaffirmed that the Algerian government prioritizes strengthening the industrial sector and developing its export capabilities.
