The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), released a video detailing an operation that targeted Israeli soldiers in the Jabalia area, north of the Gaza Strip, on May 25th.

The video shows an Israeli reconnaissance drone entering one of the tunnels but failing to detect the Palestinian fighters inside, as stated by Al-Qassam.

After the drone exited the tunnel, the fighters moved to the ambush site, engaged with the Israeli force at point-blank range, killing two of its members, and detonated the tunnel entrance.

The Israeli forces mistakenly believed that the fighters had retreated from the tunnel after the attack. They began digging around the tunnel and eventually sent a backup force inside.

However, Al-Qassam fighters were lying in wait at another location within the tunnel and had planted disguised explosives. When the Israeli support force passed one of the explosive devices, it was directly engaged, and the device was detonated.

Following the clash, Al-Qassam fighters detonated the tunnel, trapping the Israeli force between dead, wounded, and captured soldiers. They then seized the military equipment before withdrawing from the site.
