Algiers – The Ministry of Culture and Arts announced on Wednesday a list of 34 cinematic projects that have received public financial support for 2024. This support will enable the creation of feature films, short films, writing assistance, and documentaries, according to the ministry’s statement. This initiative is part of the allocations dedicated to state assistance for the promotion of arts, literature, book publishing, and cinema.
The statement emphasized, “Continuing the ministry’s policy of supporting artistic projects, particularly in cinema, through the allocated state funds for promoting arts, literature, book publishing, and cinema. After reviewing the submitted files and projects by an independent specialized committee composed of professionals and experts in the field of cinema, a selection of cinematic projects was made based on criteria and regulations supported by artistic and technical review cards. This transparent mechanism is part of the support policy adopted by the Algerian state, including the announcement of the recipients of the aid.”
