Ben M’barek: Loyalty to Martyrs Means Strong, United Algeria

Abd El Karim Ben M'barek, Secretary General of the National Liberation Front (FLN) Party, affirmed that genuine loyalty to Algeria's martyrs necessitates preserving national unity and prioritizing the nation's interests above all else. During a historical conference on the National Day of the Mujahid, Mr. Ben M'barek emphasized that commemorating this occasion involves recalling the sacrifices of the Algerian people, reinforcing national memory, and connecting new generations with their homeland's history. He stated that honoring martyrs is best achieved by making their sacrifices a benchmark for national conduct and by continuing to build the strong and unified Algeria they envisioned.

Mr. Ben M'barek reiterated the FLN Party's belief in Algeria as a robust state, defined by strong institutions, just policies, and solidarity among its citizens. He highlighted the nation's capacity to protect its sovereignty, while remaining open to the world and steadfast in its national principles. The Secretary General underscored that while the liberation battle concluded, the journey of building Algeria is ongoing. He noted that the current generation is engaged in a continuous effort across education, justice, development, and production, aiming to enhance citizens' living standards, bolster food and energy security, and establish a strong, diversified national economy.

Furthermore, Mr. Ben M'barek commended the state's initiatives in advancing national construction, strengthening institutional performance, supporting development, and solidifying social justice. He pointed to efforts in improving citizens' purchasing power, assisting vulnerable groups, fostering investment and national production, and achieving balanced development nationwide. He stressed that political independence is truly complete only with economic independence, and that a state's strength is inherently tied to the robustness of its institutions, economy, and society. Ben M'barek also urged Algerian youth to uphold loyalty to martyrs through knowledge, work, building strong institutions, respecting the law, and preserving national unity, asserting that their struggle involves transforming knowledge into wealth, competence into strength, and innovation into sovereignty.
