The “Serport” company, owner of the USM Algiers club, has appointed Othmane Sahbane as the new president of the club’s board of directors, succeeding Hassina Hassan, who resigned from the position.

The club’s management clarified in a statement that this decision followed the meeting of the USM Algiers SSPA-USMA Board of Directors, held today, Saturday, at the headquarters of the Serport services complex.

During the meeting, it was also decided to “initiate a process of quality recruitment by bringing in new players capable of advancing the club’s goals set by the Serport complex, the most important of which is winning the Algerian league title next season, strengthening the administration with human and material resources, and restructuring it to serve the club’s objectives and allow it to operate professionally.”

Among the meeting’s outcomes was a “focus on youth categories and their support as they are the future of the team and its primary reservoir, overseeing the progress of the training center’s construction and ensuring its completion within the specified deadlines, and ensuring that USM Algiers supporters are provided with suitable conditions during their attendance at the team’s matches.”

After appointing Hamza Koudri as a sports coordinator earlier, the management revealed, following the meeting, the appointment of the club’s son, Dziri Bilal, as the sports director.
