Algerian Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmed Attaf affirmed that Algeria is experiencing a comprehensive economic revival with clear goals and purposes.

In his speech at a forum on “The Role of Business Councils in Enhancing Economic Diplomacy,” held on Sunday at the El Aurassi Hotel, Attaf stated, “This revival is a testament to the reforms initiated by President Tebboune, consolidating his ambitious and promising economic program.”

Attaf explained that the approach outlined by the President “has unveiled the mining, agricultural, and industrial potentials of our country, opening wide opportunities for trade and investment with all brotherly, friendly, and partner countries.” He added that these reforms have “restored the national economy’s position among the top three economies in Africa.”

He continued, “These achievements are not coincidental; they result from policies, choices, and structural reforms endorsed by President Tebboune.”

Minister Attaf revealed that, to date, 40 business councils have been established with various countries.

In this context, the Foreign Affairs Minister emphasized that “the time has come to conduct an initial evaluation of the business councils and to explore ways to enhance their effectiveness in performing their assigned tasks.”

He concluded by saying that “Algeria has opened new and promising horizons for involving the private sector as a driver of national production towards all markets that our foreign trade can expand into.”
