In a recent declaration, the Algerian Ministerial Committee for Fatwa reaffirmed its unwavering and limitless support for the Palestinian cause, a central issue for the Islamic world. The committee closely monitors the situation in occupied Palestine and aligns itself with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s decisions supporting justice worldwide, particularly regarding Palestine.

The full text of the committee’s statement highlighted the committee’s latest session, themed “Jurisprudence of Contemporary Issues… Rules and Regulations,” starting on November 30, 2023. The session focused on four main areas: financial transactions and social relations, employment and job relations, family relations, and rulings on migration and residency.

After extensive discussions among scholars and experts, the committee emphasized the need to delve into contemporary issues requiring profound jurisprudential knowledge, familiarity with modern sciences, and the ability to apply these insights realistically within Islamic legal frameworks. This approach aims to serve the public interest and alleviate difficulties, considering the potential outcomes.

The committee members expressed their deep concern over the injustice, aggression, and killing of women, children, and elderly in occupied Palestine. They reiterated their continuous and boundless support for the Palestinian cause, a cornerstone of the Islamic nation’s concerns, and pledged allegiance to President Tebboune’s decisions in favor of just causes globally, with Palestine at the forefront.

The committee concluded with prayers for the mercy of Palestinian martyrs, healing for their sick, and protection for Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first Qibla. They paid tribute to their martyrs and concluded with blessings upon Prophet Muhammad and his companions.
