Algeria’s landmark rent-to-own housing initiative, ‘Aadl 3’, is recording major progress, with 146,640 residential units now under active construction across the country’s wilayas — representing 73% completion of the program’s first phase targeting 200,000 units.
A senior official from the National Agency for Housing Improvement and Development told dzwatch exclusively that this significant milestone has been achieved since the start of the current year, following the lifting of administrative obstacles and the finalization of technical study office selections responsible for field project monitoring.
Among the standout figures, Djelfa wilaya has seen all 1,500 allocated units enter full construction, while the 1,000-unit project in the same region has surpassed 20% completion. Médéa wilaya has its full quota of 1,400 units under way, as does Taref wilaya with 870 units fully launched.
This momentum reflects Algeria’s unwavering commitment to resolving the national housing challenge and improving living standards for its citizens, in line with the 2025 Finance Law.
