USM Alger to Play 2026 Super Cup Final in Pretoria
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced Monday the date and venue for the 2026 African Super Cup final. The highly anticipated match, featuring Algeria's USM Alger, will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa.
USM Alger, representing Algeria as the reigning CAF Confederation Cup champion, will face Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, the current titleholder of the CAF Champions League. This match marks USM Alger's second appearance in the African Super Cup, having secured their spot by defeating Egypt's Zamalek in a penalty shootout in the Confederation Cup final.
The Algerian club seeks to add another continental trophy to its collection. USM Alger previously clinched the African Super Cup in September 2023, triumphing over Egypt's Al-Ahly with a sole goal scored by captain Zinedine Belaid in a match held at King Fahd Stadium in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
