Nine Arrested, 13 Stolen Vehicles Recovered by Algiers Police

Algiers Province security services have successfully dismantled national criminal networks engaged in vehicle theft, leading to the apprehension of nine individuals. The operation also resulted in the recovery of 13 stolen vehicles, including two motorcycles, highlighting the effectiveness of law enforcement efforts in the capital.
This recent action by the Wilaya of Algiers Security Services, specifically its Judicial Police Department, forms part of continuous efforts by police to combat various forms of crime, particularly those related to vehicle theft and the trade in their accessories. Investigations were initiated following numerous complaints from citizens whose vehicles had been stolen.
Supported by technical resources, elements of the judicial police conducted thorough inquiries and investigations under the supervision of the regionally competent prosecution. These efforts enabled the identification and arrest of the criminal network members. In addition to the vehicles, authorities seized car spare parts, forged administrative documents, forged license plates, and tools utilized in the theft operations. Following the completion of legal procedures, the suspects have been presented before the competent prosecution for charges related to forming national criminal networks involved in vehicle theft and their accessories.
