President Abdelmadjid Tebboune met with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani on Friday, on the sidelines of the G7 Summit for the world’s leading industrial nations. This meeting aims to strengthen bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between Algeria and Mauritania.
President Tebboune arrived at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the city of Bari at noon on Friday to participate in the summit’s proceedings. He was received upon arrival by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The discussions between Presidents Tebboune and El Ghazouani focused on ways to enhance economic and security cooperation between the two countries, as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues of common interest.
It is noteworthy that the G7 Summit aims to address global economic challenges and promote cooperation among participating countries. Algeria’s participation in this summit reaffirms its active role on the international stage.
