Ooredoo Extends Deadline for 19th Media Star Competition Applications Until August 31

Ooredoo announced today, Wednesday, in a statement, an exceptional extension of the deadline for submitting application files for the 19th edition of the “Media Star” competition, until August 31.

According to the same source, this decision comes in response to the large number of requests received from journalists wishing to benefit from additional time to complete their journalistic works. The statement noted that, after reviewing these requests and with the approval of the jury members, Ooredoo decided to grant this exceptional extension, allowing a greater number of media professionals to complete their works and publish or broadcast them through their respective media outlets.

Accordingly, the company invited participants in this edition to prepare their works on the theme: “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence and 5G Technology on Economic and Social Transformations in Algeria.” This theme reflects the rapid technological and media changes currently taking place around the world.

Journalists will therefore be able to participate with works produced in Arabic, Tamazight, French, or English, provided that they were published or broadcast through Algerian media outlets during the period from August 15, 2025, to August 31, 2026.

The statement also recalled that application files must be submitted through the competition’s online platform via the following links: http://ore.do/media-star-participation or https://mediastar.ooredoo.dz.

Applications may also be sent by email to: Mediastar@Ooredoo.dz. Those concerned may also consult the competition rules and participation conditions on the company’s website, under the “Media Star” section, according to the same source.
