Algeria and Bulgaria Discuss Ways to Strengthen Economic Cooperation

The Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part on Thursday in the Algerian-Bulgarian Economic Forum, which was held via videoconference under the theme “Institutional Synergy and Business Development.”

According to a statement issued by the Chamber, the forum was organized as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic and trade relations between Algeria and Bulgaria. It also aimed to open wider prospects for cooperation between public and private sector institutions in both countries.

During the event, the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry reaffirmed its role as the institutional representative of the national economic sector. The Chamber emphasized its commitment to supporting Algerian and foreign economic operators by facilitating trade exchanges, organizing economic missions and strengthening communication between business partners.

These actions, the Chamber said, are essential to developing bilateral partnerships and encouraging investment opportunities that can serve the interests of both countries.

The Chamber was represented at the forum by Boualem Tarafi, Director of International Cooperation and Partnership. He delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighting its missions, services and role in supporting economic enterprises.

His presentation also focused on the Chamber’s contribution to promoting trade and investment exchanges, as well as its efforts to create stronger links between Algerian businesses and their foreign counterparts.

Tarafi underlined the importance of developing practical and effective mechanisms to enhance economic cooperation between Algeria and Bulgaria. He also stressed the Chamber’s role as an institutional bridge connecting the Algerian and Bulgarian business communities.
